Purpose:

Provides regulatory services to the Kahnawà:ke Sports Complex aimed at ensuring maximized control over the Snack Bar operations; provides support to the Accounting Clerk and Sports Complex staff as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

To Supervise the Kahnawà:ke Sports Complex Snack Bar Workers

  • Provides orientation and trains all new Snack Bar Workers to ensure they meet and become familiar with Kahnawà:ke Sports Complex standards.
  • Evaluates prospective Snack Bar Workers on the job, meets with the Immediate Supervisor to discuss hiring any new employee.
  • Consults with Snack Bar Workers to create weekly schedules.
  • Ensures that Snack Bar Workers carry out their job duties; takes corrective action as needed.
  • Makes recommendations to Immediate Supervisor regarding the termination of any Snack Bar Workers.
  • Ensures all Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) Human Resources paperwork is complete and all timesheets are approved.

To Ensure That a Healthy, Safe, and Hygienic Work Environment is Maintained

  • Draws up health, safety, and hygiene guidelines for the kitchen upon consultation with appropriate authorities.
  • Enforces hygiene standards and ensures safety precautions are used at all times.
  • Consults with authorities during safety, health, or other inspections, and enacts suggestions.
  • Regularly supervises and schedules large-scale cleaning of the kitchen.
  • Reports and schedules repairs for kitchen machinery and equipment, calls exterminators as needed.

To Ensure Daily Operations of the Sports Complex Snack Bar

  • Ensures all petty cash receipts are properly documented and handed in to the Immediate Supervisor.
  • Ensures that openings and closings are properly carried out and is responsible for the security of the Snack Bar.
  • Follows MCK/Sports and Recreation Unit (SRU) policies and procedures regarding cash concession.
  • Responsible for regularly requisitioning supplies and grocery orders and purchasing supplies during emergencies.
  • Responsible for reporting any discrepancies to the Immediate Supervisor.
  • Recommends new processes and procedures to continually improve operations.
