MCK Political Public Relations Specialist Tehosterihens Deer recaps the February 25th community meeting. Agenda items included land allotments, the possible relocation of the Kateri Tekakwitha Statue, updates on the Hydro Quebec/Hertel Line renewable energy project, and open discussion.
Additional updates were shared on the TerraPure file and the resolution of the Chateauguay fuel spill litigation.

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Tsi Na’teiontenonhwerá:tons Awenhnísera on Monday, October 12th.
The Waste Management Department will be closed for cardboard drop-offs. Regular household recycling, compost, and special collections pickup will occur as usual. The Transfer Depot will be closed for the holiday.
All essential services will remain in operation.
Regular office business hours will resume on Tuesday, October 13th, at 8:30am.
