The Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform local contractors of an upcoming abatement and demolition project involving a building and communication tower located on a parcel of land in St-Rémi.
KEPO has retained Arcadis to manage the tendering process and serve as construction manager for the project. As part of its responsibilities, Arcadis will engage a demolition subcontractor to complete the demolition work, as well as the hazardous materials abatement required before and during the demolition of both the building and communication tower.
Local contractors interested in serving as the primary demolition subcontractor are invited to contact Jean-François Nowlan of Arcadis at jeanfrancois.nowlan@arcadis.com to obtain the complete Request for Proposal (RFP) package. Contractors may also contact KEPO at environmentprotection@mck.ca for additional information.
Contractors with equipment, labor, or other services that could support a bid submission are encouraged to contact environmentprotection@mck.ca to learn more about potential opportunities and next steps.
A mandatory site visit for prospective primary demolition subcontractors will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 10am. Attendance is required for contractors intending to submit a bid as the primary demolition subcontractor and is also recommended for those interested in providing services to the project.
