Landfill Department
The Landfill Office provides for the safe, effective and efficient operation of landfill services within the community. The Landfill Office in collaboration with the Environment Protection Office, coordinates, monitors and documents the entire landfilling process to ensure our health, safety, and land are protected from contaminated soil being dumped or moved within the territory. Presently, there are eight (8) documented contaminated sites in Kahnawà:ke.
All requests for landfill must utilize the following process to obtain landfill. An application must be made at the Landfill Office (located in the Public Safety building - CPU).
